Awoke to the prospect of rain in Uzes but determined to not be down-hearted we donned our wet weather gear and headed for the bus stop.
We arrived in heavy rain and headed for the nearest open restaurant for a hot chocolate and take stock.
Suitably refreshed we headed for the Papal Palace, at least we would be in the dry. We chose to wander on our own rather than with a guide.
It is fabulous and well worth the visit.
